Application Support Consultant sought by one of Kent`s leading suppliers of Accounting & Finance Software. It is essential that you have some experience of accountancy software although training will be given. Also experience with Microsoft SQL would be an added bonus but not essential.Job Summary
To successfully support accounting and related software, generally by phone and internet assistance. Providing customer telephone support within the contractual support agreements in place to the highest levels possible. Communicating with the customer with regular updates if the issue is still unresolved. Logging and updating support records whilst on the telephone to the customer at the time of the call. Specific Tasks: Logging incoming support calls and updating the support system whilst on the telephone to the customer at the time of the call or event. Investigating and resolving support calls, both those allocated to yourself, working as a team and continually identifying and progressing outstanding issues that maybe currently assigned to a colleague. Liaising with suppliers/colleagues as required to provide effective resolutions to support calls. Maintain communication with the Customer, the Support Manager and the Account Manager with a view to identifying procedural problems, training opportunities or any other requirements. To keep up to date with all new technologies introduced to the accounting software. To work through any new software available and feedback any suggestions for change to the author. Job Summary: To successfully implement and support Hardware/Networking projects and installationsWe wish to appoint a further Network Technician with at least 3-years experience of business critical Microsoft Windows Server and Small Business Server network environments to provide technical support, system administration and 'moves and changes' through a combination of telephone advice, remote access, and site visit - it is therefore essential that you are knowledgeable, are able to drive, are capable of undertaking physically and mentally demanding duties, and are also an effective and courteous communicator able to work in a team

Specific Tasks
- When allocated new projects manage diary to schedule on-site/off-site diary appointments to complete the project and update the company systems as required.
- Liaise with salesperson/client to collate the requirements of and develop the project plan.
- On-site/off-site to install/configure the hardware & software as per the project plan.
- Assist clients/Sales Account Managers with specifications and provide recommendations relating to products and services covered by the Network Solutions team.
- Maintain clear and regular communication with the client, the Client Services Director, support colleagues and the Account Manager as to the progress on the implementation and drawing attention to any potential issues with the project at an early stage
- To ensure that all job sheets are updated as required, and signed by the client and faxed back to the office from site at the end of each visit.
- To carry out on-site/off-site maintenance visits/repairs when requested by support.
- When covering support desk, to ensure that all support calls are logged at time of call and responded to within our agreed timescales. Be responsible whilst the call is under your ownership to provide timely resolutions to the clients or liaise with colleagues to progress or escalate and keep the call updated immediately following any action originating from that call.
- To keep up to date and accredited (where applicable) with all new technologies introduced in hardware & networking and operating system software.
- To attend and contribute to scheduled meetings/briefings to ensure a co-ordinated effort by the team, and a rapid resolution of any issues arising.
- To assist with tasks within the organisation as and when required.

TECHNICAL SERVICES CONSULTANT
Job Summary: A flexible Technical Consultants role which includes strong customer advice and recommendation of new technologies and new system upgrades. This role would include customer reviews and formal proposals, together with supporting the implementation of such systems as supporting implementer for the training and supporting purposes.

- Monitoring and planning customer projects and providing support for sales consultants in the form of sales meetings and documentation.

- Keeping internal system up to date, identifying new and timesaving technologies that will increase efficiency, reduce costs and cut out wastage.
