5 Star Charity 10K Run - We Made It!
On Friday 13th April, Dan Wright, Stuart Wood, Chris Side and Andrew Clarke set off on the (extended) 10k run from Reculver to 5 Star's HQ in St. Nicholas and Back!. The course which measured somewhere between 10 & 15 kilometers, depending on who was asked was completed in times ranging between 70 and 100 minutes.
Our thanks goes to all that have supported the school raising a substancial amount of money, £3,400+ which exceeds our original target of £3,000. Here are a few of the photos from the day.
On Your Marks - The Starters Prepare...
On a warm, balmy day in deepest Kent....almost....our intrepid runners prepare to embark on a voyage of discovery. As the mist envelops the garden of England our 4 runners will be guided by a lone cyclist whom sets pace along with the aid of searchlights and flares.
The End - The Runners Triumph...
A tight finish develops as the runners crawl toward the broken finishing tape, well almost, the course was completed in times ranging between 70 minutes and 100 minutes. Individual finishes can be seen below as our intrepid 4 finish in various states of distress...
